Dayempur Herbals' annual Herbal Medicine Workshop on Saturday, June 14, was a great success!

Over 80 people from all over Illinois as well as the Southern Illinois region arrived at Dayempur Farm on what turned out to be a beautiful, mostly overcast day with a light breeze and even an occasional sprinkle of rain.

Participants enjoyed presentations on health self-assessment and facial analysis, demonstrations on how to make tinctures and infused oils, and guided tours of the herb garden and Dayempur Farm's organic food production. The flow of the Workshop allowed time to buy herbal plant starts, products, books and merchandise, and even win door prizes. A lovely, community-style vegetarian potluck lunch closed our time together. The Branch Cafe & Market catered the lunch with delicious veggie wraps, organic salad and gluten-free Pecan Sandies.

Anita Brown, Certified Functional Naturopath and Functional Medicine Practitioner, presented on "Facial Analysis" and what herbs correlate with various health conditions. She offered lifestyle suggestions and herbal remedies to support and heal the body and mind.

The guided tours included the garden beds of organically grown herbs that are used to make Dayempur Herbals’ signature herbal supplements and personal care products.

Thank you to all who came to the Workshop. We hope you feel more informed about herbal medicine and natural health. For those who were unable to attend, please feel free to contact us for more information.
